  • DENIS MINOR - Producer
    President of Blue Highway Productions

Dennis has been involved in film and video production for over 30 years.  His career began in high school while living in Denver, Colorado. He was cameraman and occasional director on series of "backyard" short films that ran the gamut of concepts from love between 2 legless frogs abandoned outside a French restaurant to a satire on an African explorer who is captured and branded by a renegade gang of Gorillas. Due to a lack of funding, two of the "gorillas" were actually students in old fur coats.

After a short detour in forestry college when he had visions of becoming a National Park Ranger guiding naive tourists into deadly encounters with rabid wildlife, he re-engaged the film production world.  It's been downhill since then.

Dennis currently lives with his wife on the island nation of Malta after stints in Los Angeles, Portland Oregon and San Francisco.
  • "to date we have produced multiple commercials, 7 short films and

The Bigger Picture deploys a film style approach to their productions, both in its choice and use of equipment. They are equipped with a full HD Editing suite as well as a full HD Digital Visual Effects department, each capable of working with 4K RAW files and enjoying a seamless work flow between platforms.

The team enjoys a close proximity to Stargate Digital, a Los Angeles based TV and Film Visual Effects House. Their sound department is fully equipped to record location sound at 48khz, 24 bit and the sound studio is geared up to finalize the product for decoding in Pro Logic, and for this purpose all tracks are mixed in 3D stereo and encoded in Dolby format AC3, for which the license is obtained on a yearly basis.

The Bigger Picture camera department houses a RED One 4K Digital Cinema Camera. The camera team consists of a director of photography/operator, focus puller and camera assist/DIT.
