Matthew is a Co-Founder/Manager of The Bigger Picture and to date has produced commercials and short films for both the local and foreign market. First introduced to the industry in 2001, Matthew worked with the VFX department on Julius Caesar in Malta and Bulgaria for TNT, together with the VFX supervisor Jay Mark Johnson (Outbreak, Blade, Matrix, Titanic). Matthew later interfaced with Stargate Films under the supervision of the CEO, 2nd unit director of photography Sam Nicholson (Desperate Housewives, Nip/Tuck, CSI: Crime scene investigation, White Noise, Dante's Peak, Twister) on 'Helen of Troy' in Malta and Los Angeles. This relationship still stands to-date and amongst other things, Matthew acts as a VFX supervisor on jobs shooting in Europe and Africa such as 'The Philanthropist' NBC.

Director / Director of Photography

David co-set up The Bigger Picture. To date, David has directed and shot over 50 commercials, for the local and foreign markets. David has worked on numerous foreign film productions, both in Malta and overseas. Some projects include 'The Spartans' (Discovery Channel), 'Wellington' (BBC), 'Dinotopia' (Hallmark Entertainment) and 'Munich' (Dreamworks). His short film 'The Legionnaire's Spear' placed first at the Malta Cine Circle National Film Competition, as well as won prizes for Best Photography and the Special Jury Award for Technical Achievement; and went on to claim first prize at the Golden Knight International Film Festival, making David the first Maltese in 33 years to win this award. David has given workshops in digital cinematography at the Arab Film Festival in Beirut, Lebanon, and as well as the Insight Out! High Definition Digital Academy in Berlin. Recently, his film '.303' placed first at the Malta International Short Film Festival and also made the official selection at the Palm Springs International ShortFest, California.

International Producer 

Starting out as a freelancer in the AD department in the local film servicing sector, Joshua has worked on a number of foreign feature films that have been shot in Malta. He later moved from the set world to production, producing TV commercials and table-top shoots for the international advertising and media markets, shooting both locally and overseas. Having collaborated with top agencies such as Ogilvy Paris, Publicis Milan and DDB Hong Kong amongst others, Joshua's priority has always been to promote a cost effective solution coupled with high production value.
